The Planet operates two state-of-the-art data centers in Houston, Texas. Their facilities offer 100,000 square feet of web hosting space, and each features redundant UPS, generator backup and smoke detection/fire protection systems. Both locations are under 24/7 camera surveillance and armed guard patrol.
The Planet is connected to the Internet through 25 Gigabit Ethernet links from seven separate backbone providers. As of January 2006, they are home to over 30,000 Windows and Linux web servers, which makes EV1Servers the world's largest dedicated web hosting provider.
